Workflow rules developed few years later are much more flexible and fully cover notifications functionality, but flexibility came at cost of split user interface \u2013 first you have to define when the action should be taken and then the action itself, while all notifications&#8217; aspects were editable on a single screen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamdesk.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/31.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teamdesk.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/31.png\" alt=\"3,1\" width=\"709\" height=\"224\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-246\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teamdesk.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/31.png 709w, https:\/\/www.teamdesk.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/31-300x95.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 100vw, 709px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today, we&#8217;ve merged these two concepts while maintaining simplicity of notifications&#8217; management. Notifications&#8217; metadata was converted to pair of trigger and email alert action.
