Description

The Problems table is the core of the database, where every issue or problem reported is documented in detail. It includes fields such as Reg Number, which uniquely identifies each problem, and Product, which specifies the related product. Reported By and Reported By Name track who reported the issue, while Problem Status and Problem Category categorize and track the issue’s progress. The Date Reported and Problem Description fields provide essential information about when the issue was reported and its nature.

The Assigned To and Assigned To Name fields indicate the staff member responsible for addressing the problem. The Problem Log records updates and actions taken throughout the problem's lifecycle. Closure Authorised By and Closure Authorised By Name are used to document who authorized the closure of the problem, with Date Closed and Problem Fix capturing the resolution details. The Other Details field provides any additional relevant information.

The Products table maintains information about the products associated with the problems. It includes Name and Product Details to describe each product, allowing for easy reference when issues arise.

The Staff table records information about the employees involved in managing and resolving issues. It includes personal details like Name, First Name, and Last Name, as well as employment dates and other relevant details. This table ensures that staff members' roles and responsibilities in the problem resolution process are well-documented.

Together, these tables enable a structured approach to tracking and resolving issues, ensuring that problems are efficiently managed and that relevant staff members are appropriately assigned and informed.
