We’ve reorganized column access settings a bit.

Access

First, column edit page now features Access section, where you can specify access rights for the column you edit right in place, without having to go to Column Access page.

You may also notice “Override access rights…” checkbox.  When calculating access rights for formulas, lookups and summaries for particular user, TeamDesk checks also access rights for all referenced columns and select most-restrictive access right. For formulas, these are all column used in the formula code, for lookups and summaries these are value columns and columns participating in the relationship.

In some cases you may want to allow user viewing the result of calculation but not contributing referenced columns.

Checking “Override access rights…” box suppresses calculation of access rights for referenced columns and uses access rights as specified for selected column.
