New tables in TeamDesk had its default dark blue color. However, if you want to paint your database to match your corporate identity it would be quite tedious task to adjust the color for every table. Today, we added new color properties for database and domain and made table’s color property inheritable.
Inheritable means, for tab’s color we use table’s color property if set. If not, we now go up to database level and look for color there.

Here is the screenshot from sample database with not colors set.

We set color property for the database.

And voila! All tables are repainted!
If not set for a database, we go up to domain level for color. Standard TeamDesk domain still sets default dark blue color, but TeamDesk Enterprise and dbFLEX domains’ colors are editable.
Moreover, the color set on domain level is used for non-database pages, such as database list or user properties.

Have a good time colorizing your databases!
Nice improvement! But wouldn’t it be nice if this approach would work for section headers as well? Now I still have to provide my section headers with the default (new) color.
