Notifications and Workflow Rules Unified

E-Mail notifications were integral part of TeamDesk since the beginning. Workflow rules developed few years later are much more flexible and fully cover notifications functionality, but flexibility came at cost of split user interface – first you have to define when the action should be taken and then the action itself, while all notifications’ aspects were editable on a single screen.


Today, we’ve merged these two concepts while maintaining simplicity of notifications’ management. Notifications’ metadata was converted to pair of trigger and email alert action. The trigger with a sole email alert action that is not reused elsewhere is viewed and edited as a notification – on a single screen; but they are also listed under workflow triggers and actions to allow fine-tuning.
