Edit Sections

If you need to rename a section or place multiple sections in the same row, click the Edit Sections button at the top of the form layout.

The Edit Sections form will appear.

The options are described below:

Label

In the Label column, all sections of the form are listed. You can edit a section label if you want to rename a section.

Width

The width of each form row can be divided into a maximum of 4 columns. This means you can place up to 4 elements side by side in the same row. Moreover, you can place sections side by side, but the total number of elements can’t exceed 4 places. Using the Width option, you can indicate the number of places filled by a section in a row. The width of columns included in this section will not exceed the specified section width. If the Auto option is selected, the section width will be the same as the maximum width of the column included in this section.

Same Row

If the Same Row checkbox is selected, the section and all elements included in it will be displayed to the right of other sections. Please remember that the width of the form row can be divided into a maximum of 4 places. This means you can place up to four elements side by side in the same row. Also, be sure that the section width is set properly.

To group elements in a new section, you need to reorder them: place the Section element before the fields of a new section.

The following appearance options are available for sections in the View or Edit mode:

• Visible.
• Collapsed.
• Expanded.
• Hidden.

To apply one of these options, adjust the form behavior for each section.

How To Change Section Color

To change the color of an existing section, click the Setup link in the top right corner of the window.

Choose the necessary table and click the corresponding table tab at the top of the window.

From the menu in the main frame, select Forms > Customize form layout.

The system will display the form layout of the chosen table.

If you want to change the color of the section, click on the Edit button. As a result, the following section edit form will be opened.

Use the Color field to set the desired color.

Furthermore, you can click on the color icon to choose the color from the opened palette.

Save changes.
