System Columns

When a New Table is created, TeamDesk generates 6 System Columns automatically. These columns are essential table attributes, because they contain critical information about table records.

System Column Description
Id This column contains a record Id number. By default the Id column is set as the Key Column of the table, therefore it is Required and Unique and can’t be deleted. But if you choose another column as the key column, the Id column will be kept as an ordinary column of the Autonumber type and in this case it can be deleted. Besides, you can edit the Id system column settings, they are the same as the Autonumber column settings. Moreover, the Id field values can be editable by custom buttons, workflow actions, according to form behavior settings and via import.
Record Owner This column comprises a user who is a record owner. When a record is created a Current User value is registered in the Record Owner field. The advantage of this column is that it participates in the Record Access settings, when the Own Records option is selected. Moreover, the Record Owner field values can be editable by custom buttons, workflow actions, according to form behavior settings and via import. The column includes settings (but not all of them) of the User column. You may edit these settings. The Record Owner column can’t be deleted.
Created By This column comprises a user who created this table record. The column values can’t be changed or imported, they are defined by the system. Also, the column can’t be deleted. The Created By column includes settings (but not all of them) of the User column. You may edit these settings.
Date Created This column contains a date, when a record was created. The column values can’t be changed or imported, they are defined by the system. Also, the column can’t be deleted. The Date Created column includes settings (but not all of them) of the Timestamp column. You may edit these settings.
Last Modified By This column comprises a user who last modified this table record. The column values can’t be changed or imported, they are defined by the system. Also, the column can’t be deleted. The Last Modified By column includes settings (but not all of them) of the User column. You may edit these settings.
Date Modified This column contains a date, when a record was last modified. The column values can’t be changed or imported, they are defined by the system. Also, the column can’t be deleted. The Date Modified column includes settings (but not all of them) of the Timestamp column. You may edit these settings.
